We don't exactly look the same
It's not my blood running through his veins
In a room full of fathers I may not be number one
But he calls me Dad I call him Son

On August 6th 1993
I married his Mom & put another limb on my family tree
He was only 3 years old I was 21
He calls me Dad I call him Son

It doesn't bother him it doesn't bother me
Were just your everyday dysfunctional family
In a room full of fathers I may not be number one
But he calls me Dad I call him

Taught him how to shave & how to parallel park
Watched him graduate from high school watched some young girl break his heart
I helped him hold it all together when his whole world came undone
He calls me Dad I call him Son
